Ol' Ironsides Barbecue and Banquet Hall | Our Story
A destination in the heart of Nebraska
Cairo, Nebraska isn't where you'd expect to find this caliber of BBQ — and yet people drive over a 100 miles to get here. Pull up a chair. The smoker's been going all day.
A small town with a long drive
Ol' Ironsides draws guests from across the region who make the trip on purpose — like Todd Grove, who drove nearly a hundred miles and called it "totally worth the drive."
The craft behind the smoker
Brisket hand-cut daily or pork belly and burnt-ends smothered in house-made sauce, ribs with the pull that only patience can produce. Three proprietary sauces — sweet, original, and spicy BBQ — finish every plate.
The dishes guests can't skip
Ask any regular what they're ordering and the answer is quick: Brisket, burnt-ends or smoked wings, every time, without looking at the menu. As Tony Cecil put it, "If you're not local, make the trip and thank me later."
Where the big moments happen
Ol' Ironsides hosts birthdays, showers, weddings, and office events in a banquet hall for up to 200 — with an outdoor venue that seats over 500.
Come hungry, leave a regular
Great food is why you'll drive here the first time. The price, staff and the atmosphere are why you'll keep coming back.
